What innovative products shined at CES 2025? From AI-based smart stethoscopes to endoscope solutions

[Reporter Lee Ji-won, MediGate News] As the healthcare market expands, digital health-related technologies such as AI-based smart stethoscopes and endoscope solutions heated up CES 2025.

MEDIGATE NEWS looked into various noteworthy digital health technologies on the 13th. Companies that previously won innovation awards in the digital health sector and those selected as noteworthy companies were excluded.

Electric Salt Spoon by Kirin Holdings

Kirin Holdings introduces the Electric Salt Spoon, which promotes a low-salt diet. It was developed for patients suffering from high blood pressure and obesity.

The Electric Salt Spoon stimulates and strengthens sodium and ions through microcurrents. This promotes a low-salt diet by making people feel salty even if they consume less sodium. According to the company, people can feel salty even if they consume 30% less salt than usual.

Leesol introduced a sleep management wearable device, Sleepisol Lite. This is a wearable device in the form of a hairband that stimulates specific parts of the brain through neuromodulation to help improve sleep quality and concentration. Specifically, it is a technology that improves sleep quality and increases concentration through microcurrent stimulation (CES) and transcranial alternating current stimulation (tACS), which are similar to bioelectrical currents.

Variowell’s Pepaminto topper can be paired with the Apple Watch to provide users with a comfortable sleeping environment. Pepaminto detects changes in the user’s body temperature throughout the night and automatically adjusts the temperature to maintain thermal equilibrium. If you and your partner have different preferred sleeping temperatures, you can set the temperature that suits you.

In addition to temperature management, Pepaminto can also measure heart rate in real time, monitor the quality of the surrounding air, and immediately notify you when changes are detected.

BLINGs by Braindeck

Braindeck is introducing BLINGs, a language transfer AI voice technology solution for the elderly and speech-impaired. This is a solution in which AI recognizes the voices of the elderly or speech-impaired and converts them into normal voices. According to the company, existing voice technologies have a voice recognition rate of over 95% based on normal voices, but the voice recognition rate for the elderly or people with cognitive or acquired functional disabilities is less than 40%.

Braindeck is installing BLINGs technology into its emotion transfer cloning voice generation AI solution LUCY 5.0. This technology analyzes tone, pitch, and speed to overcome the limitations of emotions such as joy and sadness, and reflects emotions according to language characteristics in the voice when converting into multiple languages. In addition, VOICEB, a voice generation platform equipped with LUCY 5.0, was recently released.

VIVAINNOVATION released KINDOC Endo. Kindac Endo is a generative AI-based endoscopic solution that learns from approximately 1.5 million image data collected from national university hospitals. It is designed to be used in countries with insufficient medical infrastructure with multilingual support functions.

VIV Health introduced VIV Ring. VIV Ring is a ring-type wearable device equipped with generative sleep enhancement sound that helps improve the quality of sleep. Specifically, it monitors and analyzes sleep patterns, cycles, and vital signs to create personalized sleep sounds.

SHANMU unveiled S1. S1 is a device that manages diabetes through urine analysis and is attached to a toilet. When urine comes into contact with the toilet to which the device is attached, it analyzes the components through microfluidic technology and tracks and analyzes 10 diabetes-related indicators and provides them via smartphone.

Samsung Electronics exhibited the Galaxy Watch7 and others. The Galaxy Watch7 is equipped with a bioactive sensor and includes functions ranging from sleep apnea to advanced glycation end product measurement. The irregular heart rhythm notification feature detects irregular heartbeats and warns of the possibility of atrial fibrillation. In addition, it supports over 100 types of exercise measurements and provides personalized exercise routines.

Smartsound introduced medical IoT-based smart devices such as the speaker (skeeper). The speaker is an AI-based smart stethoscope that provides improved sound quality to clinicians. The built-in AI identifies heart murmurs and abnormal lung sounds. It can also be used for personal health fetal checkups at home.

Sky Labs introduced the CART BP and CART VITAL (project name 'Apollo'), a ring-shaped blood pressure monitor. The CART BP is a cuff-less blood pressure monitor that can measure blood pressure 24 hours a day, allowing you to easily measure blood pressure without pressure. The CART VITAL added oxygen saturation, body temperature, and respiratory rate measurement functions to the existing CART BP.

UrinDx from Starling Medical

Starling Medical has released UrinDx. UrinDx is a device that checks for urinary tract infections through urine, and the measured health data is transmitted to the care team. The care team monitors the user's health through the data and provides necessary treatment services in advance.

Aabo has released the Aabo Ring, a ring-shaped wearable device. The Aabo Ring monitors the user's stress, body temperature, respiration rate, number of steps, heart rate, etc., and also tracks and analyzes sleep-related indicators.

WIRobotics' WIM is a walking support wearable robot that helps the user walk stably. According to the company, wearing WIM reduces metabolic energy by an average of 20%. When linked to the WIM dedicated app, it synthesizes and analyzes data such as the user's walking posture, efficiency, muscle strength, and walking age based on AI and big data, and suggests areas for improvement.

Wis Medical introduced a wearable bio-monitoring device, tedaid. It continuously monitors the user's bio-signals, such as electrocardiogram, heart rate, respiration rate, oxygen saturation, and body temperature. Tedaid is a wearable device that is attached to the skin, and the gap between the skin and the device is small, reducing motion artifacts.

FaceHeart's CardioMirror is a non-contact bio-signal measuring mirror. When the user stands in front of the AI mirror, it collects and analyzes health indicators, such as stress index, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and blood flow. In addition, it can detect abnormal signs of the heart, such as heart failure, and help manage the heart health of residents in areas with insufficient medical services.

FlowBeams introduced a non-invasive drug injector, BoldJet. Instead of using a needle, it uses advanced lasers and microfluidic technology (technology that moves small amounts of fluid through very narrow channels) to deliver high-precision liquid microjets directly to the skin to inject drugs. Boldjet solves the problem of needle phobia and improves the problem of discarded needles and disposable syringes by being reusable.
