Yongin City dispatched four export interns from Dankook University’s GTEP (Young Trade Expert Development Program) to support companies participating in this year’s CES. The interns performed on-site roles such as marketing and buyer response for companies. The export interns have been operated since 2023 in cooperation with Dankook University to help small and medium-sized enterprises in the city open up overseas markets and to foster future trade experts.

In addition to export interns, the city also supported booth rental and equipment installation costs, one-way transportation costs, on-site equipment rental costs, and interpretation costs for companies participating in the exhibition. On the 7th and 8th, during the exhibition, Mayor Lee Sang-il personally visited the main booths and encouraged company officials and export interns.

The mayor said, "The city's status has also been elevated as local companies in Yongin have introduced their excellent technologies to the global market at the world's largest exhibition," and "We will spare no attention and support for the growth of companies that are innovating in various industries."

In March, the city plans to support the advancement of local small and medium-sized enterprises into the overseas market by setting up a Yongin City group pavilion at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain, which is considered one of the world's top three IT exhibitions along with CES and IFA. In addition, the city will establish a city brand pavilion on the world's largest B2B trade platform, Alibaba.com, to support the product entry and export of small and medium-sized enterprises in the region.
